ECONOMIC GROWTH IN INDONESIA: DYNAMICS OF POVERTY, UNEMPLOYMENT, AND HEALTH BUDGETS
Abstract: Despite Indonesia’s strong economic growth in recent years, challenges such as
poverty, unemployment, healthcare spending, housing, education, and labor productivity
remain significant. Secondary quantitative data covering 34 provinces from 2018 to 2022 can
be obtained from sources such as international organization databases, government
publications, academic journals, and national statistical agencies. The findings reveal that
unemployment and poverty negatively affect economic growth, whereas health budget
allocations contribute positively. The study concludes that increased investment in health
improves human capital and supports economic expansion, while high poverty and
unemployment hinder growth. These insights provide valuable guidance for practitioners and
policymakers in various sectors.
